The WormMind Implant will alter the user's neural processes, stimulating and amplifying the areas related to psionics.

Additionally, a steady drip of annelid neurotransmitter chemicals is fed into the user's lower cortex. The overall effect of this is to enhance the user's latent psycho-creative abilities, specifically in the area of bodily self-control. The user of the Implant will be able to psycho-creatively heal some portion of any damage he takes. Long-term use is likely to cause a hyperimmune reaction.

WormMind must be first researched before it can be used.

Researching this item requires Research skill level 3. A small amount of Cesium (Cs) is needed in the process.

Analysis

  • When the user of this Implant is hurt, 1 of every 4 points of received damage is subtracted from Psi Points instead of Hit Points. This means that WormMind essentially provides 25% defense against damage... of all kinds!
  • The protective effect actually stacks with all types of both physical and Psi Armors!
  • The higher your Maintenance skill is, the more charge you can store in this Implant.
  • WormMind is most useful with the Cybernetically Enhanced O/S Upgrade installed.
