System Shock 3 is the upcoming sequel to System Shock 2, developed by OtherSide Entertainement.
Development
While Night Dive Studios still owns the rights to the System Shock franchise and are in the process of making a remake of System Shock, System Shock 3 will be developed by OtherSide Entertainment, a studio formed of ex-Looking Glass Studios and Irrational Games developers who worked on one or both games of the System Shock series. Among them are Looking Glass' founder and ex-creative director Paul Neurath, and ex-Irrational Games concept artists Robb Waters and Nate Wells. Terri Brosius will also reprise her role as SHODAN.[1]
Announcement
System Shock 3 was formerly announced through a teaser site on December 8th, 2015, displaying a 5 days countdown.[2] Each day, letters appeared to form the phrase "she's back" and the number 3. Various messages by SHODAN were left at the user, referring to him as hacker, forming a long message:
