O/S Upgrade Machines (or O/S Upgrade Units/Stations) are unique Upgrade devices, identifiable by their DNA symbol and light blue display. They are marked as Upgrade Units ("U") on the Map MFD.
They offer O/S Upgrades, special bonuses and abilities which are unattainable otherwise. Only one upgrade per Machine is possible and it cannot be undone.
Locations
There are only four O/S Upgrade Machines in the whole game:
- MedSci Deck: Between the Bulkhead and Security station, opposite the Crew Lounge.
- Hydroponics Deck: Close to the Recharger in the Security station guarded by two Laser Turrets, reachable from the Von Braun's Elevator through the nearby doors.
- Recreation Deck: On the ground floor of TriOp Galleria in the Mall, nearby the Stats and Tech Upgrade Units.
- UNN Rickenbacker's Bridge: Just on the right, after passing the first (locked) door.
