The Mutated Cyborg is an enemy encountered in System Shock (Remake). Compared to the original game, the remake version has received a number of appearance changes.
Overview[]
Once a human being, Mutated Cyborg - is truly one of the Shodan's creations - one hulking mass of flash and metal. As name suggests, its a cyborg, but heavily changed by irreversible mutations.
Strategy[]
Despite the terrifying appearance, it's one of the easiest enemies in the game if dealt with from a reasonable range. When not getting close to it, the enemy has only one type of attack, and it takes a significant amount of time to charge up before firing. Fire a few shots with any ranged weapon and cover behind any wall, corner or even low height obstacles can work. The enemy will continue to charge and fire towards the player being covered resulting in zero damage taken by the player. You now have a few more seconds before the next charged attack goes off. Repeat until the Cyborg no longer breathes.
This enemy is very durable, but at the point of first contact, the player should be well equipped with different weapons and upgrades for them, the encounter will prove to be easy. Be mindful of locations with multiple enemies, as it can be hard to maintain their positions and dodging their laser attacks effectively.
Appearance[]
Mutated Cyborgs are created using the legs from Loader-Bots.
