A Medipatch Healing Agent is a common dermal patch found in System Shock.

An experimental combat-enhancement patch developed by TriOptimum Pharmaceutical in the 2070's, it is an antiseptic healing patch with filler tissue and rapid growth compounds that heals your wounds.

The method of application is a dermal patch applied directly to the skin, with the dose delivered by dermal osmosis. The acting compounds are still being tested and show serious side effects with their current compositions.

Strategy[]

A single patch will restore ~25-35% of your health, over a period of time. The healing is fast initially, slowing down as the patch wears off. Using multiple patches in rapid succession will heal quickly, but is less efficient, with values restored per patch being at or below the normal minimum. Check the Biological Systems Monitor to see when the patch has worn off, if aiming for maximum efficiency.

Trivia[]

  • The Medical Hypo found in System Shock 2 works similarly to this dermal patch. However, in Shock 2 the healing amount relies only on the chosen difficulty (and a single, optional O/S Upgrade).
