Dr. Marc Miller was the supervisor for the Hydroponics Deck on the Von Braun.
After the expedition from the surface of Tau Ceti V, Anatoly Korenchkin selected Miller and Muldoon to tend and care for the Grub Eggs on condition that they do not tell the rest of the crew.
Soon like Korenchkin, Miller and Muldoon became influenced by the Many. To maintain the secrets of the eggs, the entire Hydroponics Deck was completely cleared of all personnel except for Miller and Muldoon. Muldoon unfortunately succumbed to the toxic nature of the eggs and died. Thus, Miller was forced to find a solution.
According to Miller's email, he began development of the Cyborg Midwife. In order to have a female test subject, he contacted the Chief Nurse Angela Loesser to have her sixteen female staff come to the Hydroponics Deck unknowingly sending them to their death. His first victim was Erin Bloome, who was restrained on the operating table, begging him for her life and that she would tell no one about his plan. Unfortunately her plea was in vain and Miller proceeded to convert her into a Cyborg Midwife.
His body was found near one of the Environmental Regulators and on the opposite side of the room is Loesser indicating both she and Miller died in a shootout between each other after she found out what Miller did to Bloome and her other sixteen staff.
