Specimen 79: Through the power of EDITR we have gained the ability to manipulate life in utero, but full grown adults remains a mystery. Attempting to transfer genetic traits from person to person often has "unsettling" results. The subject gains a suprahuman level of strength. Unfortunately, that is where the advancement ends. Cognitive abilities decline almost immediately, followed by distortion in bone, muscle, and connective and neural tissue. There is no value in a suprahuman soldier that cannot be controlled.
Humanoid Mutant is the second enemy type encountered at the start of the game on Level 1-Medical. They are former members of the crew that have been mutated.
Strategy[]
The player will more often encounter them in group rather than one by one, alone they pose no danger if approached right. Humanoid Mutants only deal melee damage so any ranged weapon will allow you to suffer zero damage taken fighting them. Melee weapons can also we used to charge a hit and back away a few times before the monster is dead.
