A Hacked Sim Unit
Simulation Units are required for SHODAN to take control away from XERXES, which will allow the player the access to the Recreation Deck. In order to reprogram the units, the player will need to use the collected Simulation Chips found on the bodies of three Red Assassins.

All three Sim Units are located on the Operations Deck.
- Quantum Simulation Unit (1): Sector C Offices, middle room on east side
- Linear Simulation Unit (2): Command Center, inside security room at end of south hallway
- Interpolated Simulation Unit (3): Power Ops, lower level
- As mentioned by Malick in his Audio Log titled "Sim Unit 3", this unit is booby-trapped: a swarm of Adult Arachnids will attack the player upon approaching it.
