Energy Drain Mines, as the name suggests, are mines that drain energy reserves upon contact, should the player come into their close proximity.
They are only found outside the laser control area in the center of Research Level, and at the Security Level, surrounding the Force Bridge into the main tower.
In the original game these objects are not destructible by any means and are best avoided. In the remake they can be destroyed, but nearby dispensers will simply create more.
