Cyberspace Barricade (also known as a Cyberspace Barrier) block further areas of Cyberspace.
In the original game most of them disappear after enemies in the immediate area of Cyberspace have been disposed of or when a switch is hit. They don't deal any damage when touched, but can't be passed through.
In the remake they can be disabled either by defeating enemies in the immediate area or hitting switches.
