The Cyber-assimilation O/S upgrade allows the player to extract a Diagnostic/Repair Module from a destroyed robot. When used, the module heals the player by 15 hit points.
Notes
- Note that Protocol Droids explode so violently that nothing can be salvaged from them. You can get diagnostic/repair modules from Maintenance Bots, Security Bots and Assault Bots.
Strategic Analysis
- Likely useful only with non-psi character builds on higher difficulties, as Medical Hypos, Medical Kits, and Annelid Healing Glands are rare and the replicator costs are skyhigh. However, on most levels there are surgical units and quantum bio-reconstruction machines, which can be relied upon for healing
- Almost completely useless as the last O/S upgrade, as after that, no more robots are encountered – backtracking excluded.
