First of all, the Many clearly has the capability to convert human flesh to energy... it can eat us. But it can also directly use us in the creation of its [[Egg|egg pods]]... corpses are fed into some kind of tubular structure... and eggs are birthed through a nearby tube. I've been unable to determine whether the organism is directly converting the corpses into the egg structures or not, but it's clear that there's some connection between the nutrient pool we provide and the eggs that are being produced. |

Template:Infobox location The penultimate stage of the game takes the player into the Body of The Many, complete with internal organs and digestive system. The body is shown on ship sensors having wrapped itself around the two ships. Numerous Many creatures live within it, acting as defensive organisms akin to white blood cells.
In order to destroy the Body of the Many you'll have to destroy several Nerve Clusters (which allow you to pass through the Sphincters which divide one portion of the Body from another). Once you arrive at the Body's Brain Chamber you'll first have to destroy the floating Defense Nodes which psionically protect the brain, and then eradicate the Brain itself.

- Many of the textures in The Body of The Many were derived from the colon of Josh Randall, a producer at Looking Glass Studios. He had to have an endoscopy performed, and asked the doctor for a copy of the film. Click here to see the film.
